Ringside 12 quick results – Daley delivers decision

Ringside 12’s return to Montreal’s Bell Centre went down Friday night, as approximately 3200 fans were treated to a middling unanimous decision win by British striker Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley over fellow UFC vet Luigi Fioravanti in the main event.

Featuring ten bouts in all, the card also included Featherweight champion Mitch Gagnon‘s successful transition to Bantamweight, an exciting five-round battle between hometown favourite Mike Ricci and tough American Daron Cruickshank for the vacant Lightweight title, and Welterweight prospect Alex Garcia‘s explosive return following his first career loss earlier this year.

Per Montreal MMA News:

Fight of the Night: Daron Cruickshank and Mike Ricci delivered an exciting, closely contested, thoroughly entertaining five round battle for the vacant Lightweight title.

KO of the Night: Alex Garcia bounced back from his first loss in a big way, knocking gritty veteran Matt MacGrath out cold. After pushing him to the ground during what looked like an early takedown attempt, Garcia thundered down with his fists, quickly ending the fight.

Submission of the Night: Featherweight champion Mitch Gagnon smoothly down-sized to Bantamweight, finishing American ‘Bo’ Harris in a familiar fashion, with his fifth career first round guillotine finish.

Here are the quick results. A full play-by-play of the bouts by my Top MMA News colleague Sebastien Chenier is available here.
