Saturday night, Summum 4 went down in St-Constant, for the first time using a cage instead of a ring for its amateur MMA fights. I spoke to president Joey Benoit (also Ringside‘s matchmaker) after the event about why he used a cage, the value of amateur belts, the recent success of Ontario fighters in Montreal pro events, and the fights he’s looking forward to in two weeks at Ringside 11.
