Rising Star 3 Quick Results

Montreal Rising Star, Ringside MMA’s sister promotion for up-and-coming competitors (with 5 or less fights to their name) had its third event tonight at Club Soda, with six fights going down.

Of note, the crowd looked smaller than the first two events (though the ambiance was great in the snug venue), and Ontario-trained fighters were again able to get the better of their Quebec-based counterparts, a continuing trend in 2011 for Montreal-area pro MMA cards.

Here are the evening’s quick results. Check back Sunday for post-fight interviews with main event winner Blake Nash, Seiji Marangos, Todd Stoute, Christ Franck, and Maxime Fecteau.
