135 – Julie Malenfant vs. Valérie Létourneau
Valerie Letourneau wins by TKO, 2:15 Round 2.
-After a low key first round, Letourneau lands a crippling body kick in the 2nd that clearly hurts Malenfant. Letourneau follows up with a huge right punch to the head, which dropped Malenfant into the cage. The ref jumped in shortly to stop the fight.
HW – Lenard Terrance vs. Robert Masson
Lenard Terrance wins by KO at 1:32 of Round 1.
-After trading a bit of stand-up, Terrance KOs Masson with a right leg head kick. Masson instantly crumbles to the ground. Masson face down, full-on KOed.
155 – Guillaume Lamarche vs. Kevin Morin
Kevin Morin wins by unanimous judges’ decision, 30-27, 30-26, 30-27
-After landing take downs in all three rounds, Morin rained punches down punches from the standing positoin on a grounded Lamarche for much of the third, with Lamarche unable to get back to his feet.
155 – Jesse Ronson vs. Mike Ricci
Mike Ricci wins by TKO, 3:12 Round 1.
– Ricci landed a single-leg takedown in the 1st, and began punching Ronson from his feet. Ricci moved to half-guard, and continued landing punches, before finally taking full-mount and finishing Ronson after a long series of punches and elbows.
155 – Iraj Hadin vs. Derek Gauthier
Hadin wins by unanimous judges’ decision: 30-27, 30-27, 29-28
-After a solid start that saw him land 2 takedowns in the 1st, Gauthier began to fade as Hadin began getting the better of him in stand-up and on the ground, which carried through the rest of the 1st, as well as the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
205 – Martin Desilets vs. Roger Hollett
Hollett wins by TKO, 1:39 Round 2
-After landing two takedowns in the first, Hollet TKOs Desilets in the 2nd with a solid right punch to the head, followed by a knee to the head, and finishing with a straight right to floor a dazed Desilets.
145 – Michel Gagnon vs. Réjean Groulx
Michel Gagnon wins, defends his belt, by tap out at 3:47 Round 3
– After the most electric round of the night starting off the fight, full of take-downs, striking, and submission attempts, Gagnon reverted to his wrestling, continually going for TDs and rear-naked chokes in the 2nd and 3rd that Groulx consistently defended. Finally, later in the 3rd, Gagnon went for a takedown from behind Groulx, with Groulx landing on his upper back/neck, at which point he tapped out to end the fight.
170 – Seth Baczynski vs. Alex Garcia
Seth Baczynski wins by TKO at 2:44 of Round 2.
-After a split 1st round where Garcia dominated the first half and Baczynski the second half, Baczynski managed to end up in Garcia’s guard in the 2nd, landing a single punch from standing, before getting onto his knees, and landing more right punches on a stunned Garcia, at which point the ref ended the fight. Baczynski is the new interim Ringside welterweight champ.
185 – Patrick Côté vs. Kalib Starnes
Cote wins by unanimous judge’s decision 29-28, 29-28, 29-28
– Starnes took the 1st round holding Cote’s back on the ground throughout, continually attempting rear naked chokes that Cote defended. In the 2nd and 3rd, Cote began to take control, doing enough for the win through more aggressive stand up, and ground and pound.
