Fighting for the first time since 2009, Toronto’s Steve Simms (2-0) took under three minutes to rear-naked choke Yohan Gariépy (2-3) in Saturday’s Rising Star 2 main event. After, I spoke to the 27 year-old about beating the home-town favourite, the advantage his grappling skills gave him against a more experienced opponent, where he’s been these last two years, and how he came out negatively money-wise from the fight.
